The DIGITAL STARTER 24 funding program basically consists of two parts: the basic DigiPROJEKT-Basis funding and the DigiPROJEKT-Intensiv funding. Which of the two funding programs is suitable for you depends on your priorities.

DIGITAL STARTER
Projects of small and medium-sized enterprises in Upper Austria are funded. The prerequisite for this is active WKOÖ membership.
Only projects from companies that do not themselves offer digitization services (consulting, design, implementation) or IT solutions in the subject areas applied for will be supported.
One project per member of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce can be submitted to DIGITAL STARTER 24.
It supports digitization projects (conception and implementation) that make a significant contribution to increasing operational competitiveness. The DIGITAL STARTER 24 funding program is divided into two program lines: DigiPROJEKT-Basis and DigiPROJEKT-Intensive. Submission is only possible in one of the two program lines.
DigiPROJEKT basis (from € 5,000 total project costs):
- Automation/digitization
- Data management/artificial intelligence
- Secure IT systems/cyber security
- Digital market development
DigiPROJEKT-Intensive (from € 6.000,- total project costs):
- Automation/digitization
- Data management/artificial intelligence
- Secure IT systems/cyber security
NEW in DIGITAL STARTER 24: You have the option of choosing between two program lines. Submission is only possible in one of the two program lines. The entire funding programme supports both the conception and implementation of digitization projects.
DigiPROJEKT-Basis -> Program line for smaller digitization projects/digitization projects from 5,000 euros (net)
- Automation/digitization
- Data management/artificial intelligence

- Digital market development
Project costs eligible for funding: at least 5,000 euros
Funding level: max. 40% or max. 4,000 euros as a grant
Projects aimed at digital market development are funded exclusively in the DigiPROJEKT-Basis program line.
DigiPROJEKT-Intensiv -> Program line for comprehensive digitization projects/digitization projects from 10,000 euros (net)

- Data management/artificial intelligence
- Secure IT systems/cyber security
Project costs eligible for funding: at least 10,000 euros
Funding level: max. 40% or max. 10,000 euros as a grant
As part of the DigiPROJEKT-Intensiv programme line, proof of resource efficiency and sustainability due to digitalization must be provided.

You can apply for funding online at the WKOÖ.
- Carry out the self-check to determine whether your company is eligible for funding.
- If the self-check is positive, the application can then be submitted online in the period from 15.3.2024 to 01.12.2024.
- You will receive a reply by e-mail as to whether your application has been accepted or rejected.
- Implement the project with us and submit completed project documents online by 31.01.2025
- Subsidy will be transferred to the specified account
